Primavera Cardigan Pattern

The Primavera cardigan is a pretty fast project and perfect for beginners.

This cardigan is worked vertically in back and forth rows. The back and the front are made together in one single piece.
The sides of the cardigan are sewn together with an invisible seam. The sleeves are worked in back and forth rows attached directly to the body. So, there are no seams between the sleeve and the body.

The sizes XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL), 3XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of: 80 – 85; (85 – 90); 90 – 95; (95 – 100); 100 – 110; (110 – 120); 120 – 130 cm; 30 ½ - 33 ½; (33½ - 35½); 35½ - 37½; (37½ - 39½); 39½ - 43¼; (43¼ - 47¼); 47¼ - 51¼ inches

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (after wet blocking)
• Circumference: 98, (105), 112, (119), 126, (133), 140 cm.
• Length (in cropped version): 48 cm. The length is customizable.
• Sleeve length: 48, (48), 46, (46), 44, (44), 42 cm

SIZE GUIDE
Primavera Cardigan is designed to have approx. 13 – 24 cm of positive ease. The sizes XS, (S), M, (L), XL, (2XL); 3XL fit a chest circumference of: 80 – 85; (85 – 90); 90 – 95; (95 – 100); 100 – 110; (110 – 120); 120 – 130 cm. Before you start your project, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 94 cm around your bust, you should make a size M, which will give you (18 cm) of positive ease.

GAUGE
10 x 10 cm = 11 sts x 9 rows with 8 mm hook in yo sl st blo (wet blocked).

HOOKS
• 8 mm for the main pattern, or size needed to meet the gauge.
• 5.5 mm for edges.
You will also need scissors, some removable stitch markers, a measuring tape, a row counter and a tapestry needle.

YARN
Peo 30 merino wool from Silke, 1 ball = (50 gr/100 m).
Quantity: 300, (350), 400, (450), 500, (550), 600) grams.
The amount of yarn is an estimate and will vary if you choose a different length than the one indicated.
